Party Cow

This super cute cow is another wonderful stamp from the Whimsy Stamps July Release.  It is by Crissy Armstrong and is called You Moove Me.

I coloured her with my copics and I cut an extra head out and stuck it on top with glue dots so that I could give her a little extra dimension.

The sentiment is from a great set called Birthday Letter Seals.  There are lots of great sayings in this set but amazingly it doesn’t have “Party ‘til the cows come home” in it!!! :)  So I used this birthday wishes seal but I made the cow part myself on the computer and coloured that part in too.

Ingredients :

Stamps : You Moove Me, Birthday Letter Seals

Card : x-press it, black, subtles dsp stack (SU)

Ink : memento black

Other : copics, gold spica pen, big shot, woodgrain ef, bakers twine, subtles button, subtles candy dots (SU)

I really loved colouring this gorgeous cow.  I think I will be making lots more cards with her and using lots of cow puns too!  If you have any good ones please write and let me know :)

Wee Love You

I have some BIG news to share with you today.

I am now a designer for Whimsy Stamps!    WoooHooo!

I am so very excited to join this wonderfully creative team and company and use their gorgeous stamps!  I am truly very honoured to be a Whimsy Designer :)

Most of you know that I have been a Stampin Up demonstrator for many years and the decision to leave has been a very hard one. Although I still like a lot about Stampin Up, my love of colouring is the reason I made that decision. I was feeling very disappointed with the amount of line art images that Stampin Up have to be honest and I have been craving stamps to colour with my copics that are cute and pretty.

So I decided to try applying for the Whimsy Design Team. I crossed my fingers and everything else I could and I am just so happy that I was one of the lucky ones chosen :)

So this is my first Whimsy card :)

And she was so much fun to colour and so was the snail.  Isn’t he the cutest snail you’ve ever seen ?!

This card is for the Whimsy Challenge this month to use Ribbon and Lace.

I made this card for my little Granddaughter who is about to turn one.  She probably won’t think much of it at the moment but hopefully her Mummy and Daddy like it and she might appreciate it when she’s a bit older  :)

Ingredients :

Stamps : Whimsy Wee Love You Slow Much

Card : basic grey, white, going grey, pink pirouette, silver shimmer, pip, celery

Ink : memento black, copics, white pen

Other : big shot, square scallop die, timeless type alpha, MFT mini rolled roses, bird punch, pip satin ribbon, crochet trim, rhinestone, faceted button, bakers twine, sewing machine

Please take a look at what the rest of the Design Team have created and play along with our theme challenge.  There are some wonderful cards to inspire you and some great prizes to win as well :)

Love and Sympathy

There is a great sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week and I thought I’d play along.

I decided to use my Love and Sympathy set to make a simple card.  Luckily I don’t need a card like this at the moment but I think they are good to have on hand.

I used my pool party core’dinations for the first time and it looks absolutely gorgeous.  It’s hard to see in the photo but in real life it actually looks like material with this embossing on it.  I was a little unsure about core’dinations with subtles but actually I love it and I think it will get used a lot more than the bolder colours.

I sponged a sky background with pool party and then I used lucky limeade and island indigo markers on the flower and stamped it 3 times without re-inking.

Ingredients :

Stamps : Love and Sympathy

Card : confetti white, white, pool party core’dinations

Ink : pool party, espresso, markers (lucky limeade, island indigo)

Other : white bakers twine, ribbon and button from saleabration pack, lacy brocade ef, big shot

Wizardette’s Mojo

Well my youngest daughter has another birthday party to go to this week and it’s a Harry Potter party.  So I just had to use this wonderful Tiddly Inks image of Hermione again.  She is so gorgeous and so much fun to colour.

I saw this great sketch at Mojo Monday and decided to give it a try.  They are celebrating their 300th sketch.  What an amazing achievement!

Ingredients :

Stamps : Tiddly Inks Wizardette

Card : black, white, red, pool party, storytime dsp, subtles dsp stack

Ink : memento black, illuminate

other : copics, rhinestones, elegant lines ef, big shot, kindy glitz

There is even going to be a wizard (actually a magician :) at this party and everyone is dressing up.  My daughter is so excited to go.  She said this card was awesome and perfect and that the birthday girl will love it!  :)
