Watering Can Heidi

It's nearly new release time at CC Designs!  :)
Today we are previewing CC Designs images and I have chosen to use Watering Can Heidi.
Isn't she gorgeous!

I also used a new sentiment set called Happy Day.  The little butterfly is from another new set called Garden Doodads. It is actually a set designed to be used with nuggets candy and kisses but I thought the little butterfly would look great with Heidi.  I just stamped it onto some patterned paper and cut it out.

So I have used lots of new goodies on this card along with some extremely old paper that I've been hoarding :)

Please hop over to the CC Designs blog to see what the rest of the design team have created and see even more new products.  The May release can be purchased at CC Designs from the first of May.

Mary

I have a card for Whimsy Stamps today.  It is an adorable image by Sylvia Zet called Mary.  I just love this one, she is so sweet!  And she was lots of fun to colour too :)

The sentiment is from a new clearly Whimsy set by Raindrop Echo Designs called Simple Sentiments.
I did some distressing on this one, which I don't do very often, and I like how it turned out.
I also used a Whimsy Corner die.

Sometimes a card turns out exactly as you'd hoped.  This is one of those times :)

Ingredients :
Stamps : Mary,  Simple Sentiments
Card : x-press it, black, Summer Stories (Teresa Collins)
Ink : tuxedo black, antique linen distress ink
Other : Whimsy Corner die, Marvellous Squares (SB), SU ribbon (ret.), copics

Wild About You

I have a card for Bunny Zoe's Crafts today.  I used an adorable image by Rachelle Anne Miller called Wild About You.  I thought this giraffe would make a very cute baby card and I decided to colour him "normal" giraffe colours, so that it could be used for a baby boy or girl.  But I think he would be super-cute coloured pink or blue too!

wild about you, rachelle anne miller, giraffe

The sentiment, and a few others, come with the image which is great.  I coloured it with my copics and added some gold spica pen to the giraffe's spots.   It gives a perfect touch of shimmer without being too much, but you can't really see it in the photo.  I also used a viva white pearl pen for the dotty "mane".

The paper is from a Crate Paper pad called Little Bo Peep. I've also used a couple of mini open yellow roses and some flat backed pearls.

Ingredients :
Stamps :  Wild About You
Card : x-press it, crumb cake,  Little Bo Peep (Crate Paper)
Ink : memento black, pool party, antique linen DI
Other : romantic rectangles (SB), SU ribbon, viva white pearl pen, gold spica, mini open yellow roses and some flat backed pearls.  copics

Copics used :
W 00, 1
BG 0000
R 00, 30
Y 11, 13, 15, 21, 23, 26

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :

Penny's Cupcake Wagon

It's time for a new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Craft.  This month the challenge is Distress.  So you could either colour with distress inks or do as I did and distress some paper.

Penny's cupcake wagon, CandiBean, Whimsy, sweet word die

I used a super-cute CandiBean stamp called  Penny's Cupcake Wagon and coloured it with my copics.
The papers are from Echo Park - Head Over Heels.  I inked them with Antique Linen Distress Ink and ripped them a bit too. I also used the Whimsy - Sweet as Candy Large Word Die to cut the word from it.  Before sticking it down though, I used the negative from the die on the card stock.  I used it as a stencil and sponged the distress ink onto the piece of card and then I stuck the "sweet" on top, but slightly off, to create a shadow.

I used a pretty Pink Button and the ribbon is Marianne D - Pink Silk Lace.  You probably can't tell from the photo, but it is the softest, most beautiful ribbon I've ever seen.  Great for a special card!

Ingredients :
Stamps: CandiBean - Penny's Cupcake Wagon
Card : x-press it, crumb cake, black, Echo Park - Head Over Heels
Ink : memento black, Antique Linen Distress Ink
Other : Whimsy - Sweet as Candy Large Word DiePink ButtonMarianne D - Pink Silk LaceCopics

CC Designs Blog Hop Winner

Last week we had a wonderful birthday blog hop at CC Designs and each blog got to choose a random winner.

I didn't use a random number generator, I just asked my youngest daughter to pick a number between 1 and 22 (the number of comments for that post).

She picked number 5.  And that lucky person is Jennyfer L.
Please email Christine.christine@ccdesignsrubberstamps.com and put "blog hop winner" in the subject line Jennyfer.
I hope you have fun spending your voucher at the CC Designs store :)

Pepper On Balloon

I have another CC Designs Preview to share with you today.
This time I have used a Roberto's stamp called Pepper On Balloon.
Isn't he cute!!!

I have seen a lot of these Card in a Box cards over the last few weeks and I thought I would give one a try too :) There is a Splitcoast Stampers Tutorial Here if you'd like to see how it's done.
Probably the trickiest part is actually trying to photograph one :)

Pepper On Balloon, CC Designs, Roberto's, card in a box, CC Designs April 2014 release

I coloured Pepper and his balloon with copics and then I used the CC Cutters Balloons Die to decorate the inside of the box.
