Thanks Nancy

I have a card for CC Designs to share with you today and I've used lots of new goodies :)
I've actually used Nancy Gardens before (but she's so adorable I just had to colour her again)!
There is a new die called the Make a Card #13 Spring Die and it has these really cute mushrooms in it that I really wanted to try colouring. I thought they would go perfectly with her (and I was right) and the grass and cloud die are all from this set too.  I think I'll be using this die a lot! :)

Bee Henry

I have a card to share for CC Designs today :)
I've used a cute little guy called Bee Henry and the Bee-cause set together.  Aren't they adorable?!

I also used a new stencil called Honeycomb on the grey matt.  Firstly I used some white ink and when it had dried a bit added 2 different yellow inks over the top.  Doing this has given the honeycomb a bit more dimension I think. Then I added some splats with black acrylic paint and stamped the fabulous sentiment.

Ingredients :

Stamps : Bee Henry, Bee-cause
Card : x-press it, black, grey, slate, Bundle of Joy - a new edition (EP)
Ink : memento black, versafine, white craft
Other : Make a card #10 Christmas die, Honeycomb stencil, Autumn dots, little man dots, copics

Copics used :

Y 11, 13, 15, 28
BG 0000, 10, 72
R 30
E 000, 00, 21, 50, 53, 55

C 1, 3, 5, 7

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :

7 Kids Challenge - Anything goes

Granda

Hi :)  I have another scrapbook page for Mystical Scrapbooks to share today.

I decided to scrap a photo of my daughter with her Granda and tried to do a bit of a mash-up of all the challenges from the Harmony Day Cyber Crop.

For Gypsy's Challenge to use a pattern from another culture, I drew the border at the bottom of the photo.  It is meant to resemble a Celtic Knot type of pattern, it is a very simple one, but it turned out quite effective anyway I think.
My Dad was Irish and so I thought that would be appropriate.
His Grandkids called him Granda, because that's what he called his Grandfather in Ireland and he wanted to continue the tradition.
So I had Granda as the title and it "kind of" fits Donna's challenge to use a non-english word.  It isn't the word most Australians use for Grandfather anyway and is from another culture, it is mainly an Irish thing I believe, although I guess technically it's still an English word.
And finally my challenge to use orange.  There is a bit of it on the page and my daughter is wearing orange again :)

So I haven't checked with Donna to see if she thinks I've used her challenge correctly and there's not heaps of orange, but I do believe I've used elements of all 3 challenges here :)

The paper is from the Free Spirit collection by Cocoa Vanilla and is called Eclectic.  One side of it is this beautiful typed sentiment and on the other are journal cards and other goodies which is where the "this was -" piece was from.  The heart, you and me, star, banner and those were the days, are all from the Free Spirit - Die Cut Ephemera pack.  I also used one of the Free Spirit Little Hearts.

The title was made using the Pink Paislee Hey Kid - Elements Stickers.

There are still a few days left to take part in one of the challenges, I hope you'll join us :)

Harmony Day

We are having a Cyber Crop at Mystical Scrapbooks this weekend and the theme is Harmony Day.
Orange has been the Harmony Day colour since the first day was held in 1999.
So my challenge is to use the colour orange on your page.

Orange can be a bit of a tricky colour to use I think. I've used it as an accent colour and it is in my photos too.  You don't have to make a completely orange page, but kudos to you if you can make that work :)

I didn't have any orange papers so I decided to stencil some Distress Ink onto Bazzill Basic white.
I actually just made a little stencil of my own by punching different sized circles out from a piece of card.  Then I stencilled some stars over the top with embossing paste.

I used two different Thickers and Basic Grey - Micro Monograms : pink for the titles.
The orange strip at the bottom, the ticket, "hey girl" and "you are amazing" are all from Pink Paislee's Hey Kid Elements stickers.  The bird and flower are from Doodlebug Hello Spring Cardstock Stickers.

I loved scrapping these cute photos of my youngest daughter playing cricket.  She is such a sporty girl :)

I hope you'll join us and make a page using one of our Harmony Day challenges.

Thanks for dropping by :)

Gorgeous

I have another page to share for Mystical Scrapbooks today.

I wanted to scrap this photo of my youngest daughter in her pj's.  She had the cutest, curly hair when she was little and I wanted to try to capture her sweetness with a fun page!

I thought this paper from Cocoa Vanilla's  Free Spirit collection would work beautifully. It's called My Way and I love the design on the reverse of this paper too.

I also used the Free Spirit Die Cut Ephemera set.  There are just so many wonderful pieces in this collection!  All the words and the arrow on the left side are from it, plus the pink star.

I mounted the photo and embellishments onto Bazzill white cardstock and sewed around the edge for a bit of extra dimension and coziness :)

The alphabet and number stickers are from Pink Paislee's  Hey Kid - Elements Stickers.  This is a great set and a very close colour match for the blue used in the paper :)

Thanks for dropping by today :)
